Future Soup #1

Future Soup is a quaterly, electronic Zine that combines Videogame criticism with Glitch Art and short, abstract microstories.

Videogames are at the center of this first issue. In it, you will find four longer pieces, each of them deals with one singular title and tries to examine one specific aspect of it.

The specific games/topics being discussed are:

Secret Habitat and how it reflects upon our perspective on the world

Earthtongue and what happens to Ecosystems when its organisms have no means to adapt to their enviroment.

Dark Souls and what it has to say about the concept of Evil

LUFTRAUSERS and how its usage of World War II imagery goes beyond the aesthetical level

In between those longer pieces you will find microstories as well as shorter snippets about, Outcast, Endless Express, Chyrza, Catacomb Kids, Skyrim, Eidolon and Guild Wars. It will also feature some images that I destroyed with my own hands.

Future Soup ist ein vierteljährlich erscheinendes digitales Zine, welches Computerspiel-Kritik, Glicht Art und Mikrogeschichten in sich vereint.

In dieser Ausgabe stehen Computerspiele im Vordergrund. In vier längeren Aufsätzen werde ich mich mit einzelnen Titeln auseinandersetzen und spezifische in ihnen Gesichtspunkte diskutieren.

Im genaueren sind dies folgende Titel/Themen:

Secret Habitat und wie es einen Blick auf unsere Perspektive auf die Welt wirft

Earthtongue und was passiert, wenn Ökosysteme ohne die Möglichkeit für Anpassungen konstruiert werden.

Dark Souls und wie es mit dem Konzept des Bösen umgeht.

LUFTRAUSERS und wie es nicht nur auf ästhetischer Ebene vom zweiten Weltkrieg inspiriert wurde.

Dazwischen werdet ihr kürzere Texte über Outcast, Endless Express, Chyrza, Catacomb Kids, Skyrim, Eidolon und Guild Wars finden. Zudem noch vier Mikrogeschichten und eine Handvoll Bilder die ich mit meinen eigenen Händen vernichtet habe.
