Leid vom Meeresfall: Chapter 1
A downloadable game for Windows
For the love of everything that's holy, please read the included "READ ME" File before playing!
It's inside the game's main folder, but I also uploaded it to my website.

Note: You can quit the game by holding down "escape" for a few seconds, I seem to have forgotten to mention that...
This Build is playable, but the game itself is very far from being done. You will encounter some placeholder art and I've put very little effort into making sure that the game actually explains what you are supposed to do.
Yet, I wanted to share what exists of it, because I don't know when I last worked on something that made me as excited as this game, plus I'm doing this on my Birthday as a treat to the world around me, which deserves to witness true beauty in a moment of severe crisis.
Thank you for your understanding.
Another Note: You can't really die in this game, so the game just continuing on as if nothing happened is normal. There's still a cost to losing battles however, just not as obvious.
What you can expect:
- 2-4 hours of videogame.
- 2 Dungeons, some overworld exploration.
- Around 50 Encounters, featuring 20-30 different enemy types.
- Up to 6 Boss Fights (though not all in one playthrough).
- Four Characters who are all looking for a purpose.
- three different types of mean Rodent and one that's nice.
- A story about an Empire in Decline, Colonization, and living amongst the ruins of a long-forgotten war.

Also despite this being a top-down RPG, there's still some collision code left from Maddy Thorson's ancient "Grandma Platforming Engine".
